Christmas 2009!

Christmas 2009 was celebrated with great joy! From cookies and candies a plenty to festive lights and music, the holiday was enjoyed to the very last moment. Of course, we fully welcomed the break from school for 2 weeks. At that point, we were able to complete shopping, baking, decoration, and other preparations. The holiday couldn't come fast enough for Lane... he even was able to have Christmas with us on the 23rd (since he would celebrate the actual holiday with his father.) Needless to say, he was absolutely spoiled and loved every minute of it!

--Ash is pictured above with necessary gear to play a lazer tag game.
--She also helped inspect each ornament (daily with several rearrangements over the weeks).

--Her favorite ornament a music box given by a teacher friend at Matt's school. She enjoyed listening to "Away in the Manger" for at least 26 times a day.

--Pictured here again with that ornament. Other favorites included snowmen, pictures of Lane as a little boy, animals, etc.

--Attired in her new Christmas dress--chosen by Lane--she really enjoyed the clicketty-clack her shoes made. They sound like Mom's shoes.

--Blocks and Legos were the ultimate gift this season as she could design all sorts of configurations.

--Lane was fully covered in a mountain of wrap.

--More Legos. She is very serious about choosing the correct colors and shapes.

--Lane scored big with Wii and board games as well as other activities which require hours of assembly--Knex roller coaster.

--Ashlyn really would've been happy with just boxes and stuffing inside them.

All in all, we had a great Christmas, a perfect celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. The holiday can sometimes become chaotic, and as a result, we may become distracted and lose focus of the holiday.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL!
