Every year about two weeks after Christmas, my birthday comes around. When it seems like the holiday hangover is in effect for most, this is certainly not true for Lane, Ashlyn and Matt (as well as the rest of my family). Mexican food--my favorite--Friday night, barbecue ribs Saturday night, we definitely made a great weekend out of it! A weekend without having to cook, and I feel like royalty. Not to mention, the gifts. Lane, knowing how cold I always am, purchased a Snuggie for me (testing it out as seen in above photo). Also, I got to order my sewing machine (after being able to save up money from family--THANK YOU!!)
What's more, the weather this weekend was perfect! We spent time at Bridgeport Plaza and the park with the kiddos and dog. It was a wonderful weekend for sure!
What's next? Basketball tournaments the next two weekends. The end of 1st semester at school is in two weeks. Lane and Ash are awesome. Lane has been taking on more responsibilities around the house and learning the basics of toddler care. He will be working on his science fair project through January with Matt, a maze for his gerbils to learn. Ashlyn is all about doing everything by herself. She can jump now and also knows more words: "Uh-oh," "Wowwwww," and "O!" for "No!" If you're looking for adventure, visit Reisner Lane. :)
