Last week was a new experience in many ways. First, we inaugurated a new president, one that I have endorsed from the start, so that was really exciting. I truly enjoyed the ceremonies, and found that I was absolutely in tears throughout it. What an amazing time!
More important, Ashlyn attended her first days at daycare. It was a little tough on all of us, but we survived. Each day will get easier, and I know she thoroughly enjoys the kids there. The main problem, she still is refusing the bottle, so we're hoping she'll succumb to the pressure today. :)
Lane had a very successful basketball tournament over the weekend, which is always fun. Their team took 3rd, and all the games were quite close. It is quite a step up from last year's rec team, and I think Lane is gradually adjusting to the pressure. It's amazing (scary?) how intense 5th grade can be. He is having fun with Ashlyn as seen in the picture above and often holds her and plays with her in the back of the car. Of course, she adores him!
