So much fun, so little time!

"Woody, I saved you!"
Ashlyn declares as she grabs Woody's leg before he tumbles down the stairs. She is very into Toy Story and loves all of the characters. The songs are known throughout our house as well.

"NO HOME!"
When we drive home in the car, she'll protest requesting to go somewhere else instead. Of course, the park is her favorite or the "Jump-Jump Place" (aka Sky High Sports, a warehouse of trampolines). But, Fred Meyer, Starbucks, or Costco will do.

"Mommy, snack please."
Does that sound like Lane, or what? (Even Lane as a pre-teen.) Her favorites include yogurt, granola bars, cereal, spaghetti, etc.

"Grandma and Grandma ride choo-choo home."
Of course, we had an amazing time with Bill and Jan at the end of February. We did the beach for a day, dinner with Dick, Beth, Terry, and Grace, and so much more. Our party of good food, wine, coffee and sweets lasted the duration of their trip. Ashlyn enjoyed plenty of running, playing, and bonding with them! :)

"I ride horsey by myself!"
The Seaside Carousel was kept in business after Ashlyn's contributions this past weekend. The reason for the trip, Lane's last basketball tournament of the season. Two games both Saturday and Sunday was just a fraction of what we did: walks/runs on the beach, video games, swimming, shopping, and plenty of snack like seafood, candy, ice cream, coffee, etc. The finale--they won the tournament!! Earlier in the season then had lost to Beaverton, a team of 12 tall, strong, vertically-gifted young men. But, thanks to solid rebounding, defense and accurate shooting, they pulled off the win. I think Lane really enjoyed the trip because the town was filled with tournament players, both boys and girls. He and his friends frequented the arcade, was invited to a bonfire on the beach, and rode bicycle cars around town. They spent most of their free time just roaming around town.

"The sun is awake; the moon and stars go night-night."
Of course, this is the sign that spring is due to arrive soon, summer right around the corner. Longer days and warmer weather, please arrive soon! Baseball tryouts have happened, and Ashlyn will start swimming lessons soon. (Potty training training will start spring break--wish us luck!) Happy Spring to all!
