Our Halloween celebration began with a party at Lane's school on Friday. He was a stylish character representing the 1960's. (I think he was missing the chest hair and side burns, personally, but he was pretty cool looking.) He enjoyed showing off his costume with his friends at a Halloween party Saturday night in
Hillsboro which included trick-or-treating.
As you can see,
Ashlyn was a cute little bug, a lady bug. She didn't mind the several layers of costume and managed to keep the headband on for quite sometime. We started our day at Bridgeport Village with a Disney kids' program and trick-or-treating. She really loved looking at all of the other kids in their costumes. (Here she is visiting a giant pear representing Oregon's state fruit.)
Of course, you all know the sequence of events that followed. Surely, this Halloween will go down as the most terrifying. The febrile seizure and throat infection her first major illness, we understand the events that happen to our little ones. That is why we give them our hearts, our perfect love, and do all that we can assure they are happy and safe. How very lucky we are to be blessed with our babies!!
