Now that we are in full swing of a new school year, time is cruising, day by day, week by week. It's all so fun, so busy! Lane is the BMC or "Big Man on Campus" in the 6th grade at 5'4". He's enjoying his teacher, his class, and all the responsibility that being at the top entails. More homework, some tough decisions, and less opportunity to whine, I think he is figuring out what it means to grow up. He decided against football this year, so he attends basketball group conditioning with an instructor. Additionally, he also keeps up with his reading and doing Fantasy Football.
Ashlyn, 13.5 months old, is back with her friends at Kathy's daycare. A tough adjustment at first, I think she's figured it out. She plays, plays, plays, and squeals with delight when she sees me walk through the door each day to pick her up. Playing outside, organizing towels, dancing to the Black Eyed Peas, how much better can her life get. Oh, forgot to mention how much she loves to eat.
Matt is busy with those middle school kids and typical fall activities: football on weekends, playing at the park with Ash, and other various activities. I am still teaching at Westview and have new responsibilities this year: teaching an 11th intervention class and department chair. I'm still not sure how my days will encompass all of those activities, but I guess we'll have to see.
